knowledge is as follows

Stainless steel silverware can be difficult to clean. Because its surface is so smooth and shiny, fingerprints and other smudges stand out. These small blemishes can easily be wiped away with a soft, lint-free cloth. Bleach is an effective stainless silverware cleaner, but it should only be used when your stainless silverware is dirty enough to develop a blue tint. To avoid damaging your stainless silverware, do not use bleach cleaner more than once every few months.

Things You'll Need

Bucket or sink

Bleach

Water softener

Rubber gloves

Dish-washing liquid

Non-gel toothpaste

Old soft-bristle toothbrush

Lint-free cloth

Step 1

Fill a bucket or your sink with 1 gallon of hot water followed by 1/4 cup chlorine bleach and 1/4 cup water softener. Use a rubber-gloved hand to mix it well.

Step 2

Place your stainless silverware in the bleach solution, and let it to soak for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the stainless silverware from the solution and hand wash the silverware with regular dishwashing liquid.

Step 4

Dab tough stains with non-gel toothpaste and scrub them with an old soft-bristle toothbrush. Then hand wash the silverware again.

Step 5

Rinse the silverware clean, then dry with a lint-free cloth.

Tip

Wear rubber gloves while you clean your stainless silverware. To avoid leaving fingerprint smudges on your freshly cleaned silverware, dry them while wearing your rubber gloves, as well.
